Add one ice pack product per shipping box. We’ll include the correct number of ice packs based on your bottle count and upgrade your order to insulated packaging.
Ordering 12+ bottles?
During the summer, ice packs are complimentary on orders of one case or more.
Still add ice packs to your cart. A 100% discount will be applied at checkout.
When to Add Ice Packs
We recommend ice packs for summer orders, especially if your wine is shipping through hot weather, traveling by Standard Ground or 2-Day Air, or if your order needs extra protection during the final delivery leg.
For Temperature-Controlled Shipping, ice packs are added at the final regional hub before your wine leaves for standard ground delivery. For Standard Ground and 2-Day Air, they are packed before your order leaves our shipping facility.
Ice Packs May Arrive Thawed
That’s normal. Ice packs are designed to keep your wine cool, not cold or frozen. They may arrive soft, partially thawed, or fully melted. Your bottles may not feel cold to the touch. If the corks are intact and there are no signs of leakage, they’ve done their job.
Ship Somewhere Safe
Wine shipments require a 21+ adult signature. In warm weather, we strongly recommend shipping to a FedEx or UPS pickup location, or to a business address where someone can sign on the first delivery attempt.
Missed deliveries may send your wine back onto a hot truck or into a hot warehouse, increasing the risk of heat damage.
