Description

VINTAGE NOTES

The 2021 growing season in the Willamette Valley began with early summer rains that impacted pollination, resulting in a notably light crop. This was followed by record-setting heat and prolonged dry conditions, allowing the fruit to ripen fully and evenly. The combination of low yields and warm conditions produced wines with concentration, structure, and natural lift.

This single-clone Pinot Noir comes from Block C, the highest-elevation planting in the Dundee Hills vineyard. With shallow volcanic soils and multidirectional sun exposure, the site supports slow ripening and layered complexity. As part of our single-clone series, this wine showcases Clone 777 as one of the most complete expressions in the vineyard, offering a natural balance of structure, fruit, aromatics, and acidity.

tasting notes

The 2021 Clone 777 Pinot Noir opens with lifted aromas of cranberry, cinnamon, and cedar. The palate is mid-weight and structured, showing cherry and plum with a hint of cocoa. Bright acidity and fine tannins provide a zesty lift, leading into a polished, enduring finish.
