Vintage notes
The 2019 growing season started out cold and wet but became very hot by mid-late summer. Frequent rain in August and September slowed fruit development, leading to fruit with moderate sugar levels and crisp acidity. As a result, 2019 Oregon Pinot Noirs, including the 2019 Clone 114, are structured and elegant – graceful and lively with unique vintage personality.
Tasting Notes
The 2019 Clone 114 opens with lifted aromas of raspberry, layered with subtle notes of butterscotch and warm spice. The palate is light-bodied and precise, driven by bright acidity and a silky texture. Fresh red fruit carries through a clean, focused finish, with fine tannins and a touch of delicate wood spice adding structure.
