Description
vintage notes
The 2022 growing season began with ample rainfall and warm spring conditions, encouraging early bud break. A rare April frost briefly slowed vine development and led to lower yields, followed by a warm, steady summer. As harvest approached, dry and temperate weather allowed for an extended ripening period, giving the fruit time to develop both concentration and balance while retaining natural acidity.
Crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir clones—667, 777, Pommard, 114, and 115—this cuvée brings together multiple blocks within the Dundee Hills. Each component contributes its own character, resulting in a wine that is layered, structured, and representative of the vintage as a whole.
Tasting Notes
The 2022 Cuvée Pinot Noir opens with aromas of ripe red berries, mild spice, aged tangerine peel, cedar, and a hint of chocolate orange. The palate is supple yet structured, showing vivid flavors of cranberry, plum, and a trace of cocoa. Subtle notes of mint, clove, and forest earth add depth, while fresh acidity and fine tannins carry through a long, even finish.
