May’s selections take a lighter, offbeat look at what it means to be in over your head. With two distinct stories from Wes Anderson, each film explores ambition, identity, and the unexpected ways things unfold when you’re figuring it out as you go.

Fantastic Mr. Fox Food & Film Experience
May 8, Doors open at 6:30pm
For this edition of our Coppola Movie Night series, the tasting room becomes an intimate screening space for Fantastic Mr. Fox, paired with a six-course menu served in sync with the film.
As the characters scheme and dine on screen, those same flavors make their way to your table, creating a fully immersive, taste-as-you-watch experience.
Starring Jason Schwartzman of the extended Coppola family, Fantastic Mr. Fox is iconic for its incredibly detailed stop-motion world, dry wit, and unmistakable sense of style. Between the orchard raids, the farmer feuds, and the feast scenes, it offers the perfect foundation for a dinner-and-film experience.

Rushmore
May 22, Doors open at 6:30pm
“Rushmore” (1998) is a coming-of-age comedy from Wes Anderson, co-written with Owen Wilson.
Set at Rushmore Academy, the film follows Max Fischer, an eccentric and endlessly ambitious student played by Jason Schwartzman, a member of the extended Coppola family, in his breakout role.
When Max forms an unlikely friendship with a disillusioned industrialist, played by Bill Murray, the two quickly find themselves competing for the attention of the same teacher.
The film features a Golden Globe–winning performance from Murray and an Academy Award–nominated screenplay, and is known for its sharp humor and distinct visual style.
“What made the event unique was Dawn’s research and knowledge about the film, the production, and the directors/producers… If you’re looking for a new idea for date night, Domaine Lumineux takes movie night to the next level.”
