Description
Vintage and tasting notes
The 2019 growing season started out cold and wet but became very hot by mid-late summer. Frequent rain in August and September slowed fruit development, leading to fruit with moderate sugar levels and crisp acidity. As a result, 2019 Oregon Pinot Noirs, including the 2019 Pommard Clone, are structured, and elegant – graceful and lively with unique vintage personality. This particular Pinot Noir comes from Block G on our estate vineyard which you explore see in our vineyard map.
Upon opening a bottle, one is greeted by scents of bright strawberry, eucalyptus, and coriander spice. Expansive flavors of deep raspberry, marionberry, lush, red fruits, and currant play out with a full mouthfeel on the palate. The 2019 Pommard Clone Pinot Noir is a delicious, fruit-intensive wine that is a pure delight.
